Who is Coach Michael?  First and foremost, Coach Michael is a very dedicated person.  Outside of coaching Michael is always smiling, friendly, outgoing and making everyone laugh, even when he is going through difficult times in his life.  Despite facing numerous challenging situations that would have shattered most individuals, his resilient mindset has prevented any of them from impeding his personal growth. There's a common misconception that being a mindset coach means everything comes easily to him and he doesn't face any challenges. However, like all of us, he's human and encounters his fair share of difficulties. Michael, like everyone else, has made his share of poor decisions in life. However, he ensures that he learns and evolves from these experiences, refusing to let them define his reality.

Michael had a great childhood for the most part.  Yes, as most kids we got into trouble, but nothing all kids in the 80's and 90's got into.  As a kid he spent most of his time when it was warm at their family camp ground where he and everyone at the camp grounds, skied, knee boarded, barefoot skied, and just enjoyed life.  Michael played sports including, baseball, soccer (through high school), and tennis (still plays now). Once he graduated high school, which he loved so much he went to summer school every year lol (played around during school year too much), he started college and after a year decided to join the military.  Went to boot camp, went to his school and was activated in the midst of it.  Then after the military he went back to college, and opened his own business doing everything from lawns to roofing and was very successful.

In 2018, the trajectory of his life took an unexpected turn that nobody could have anticipated. Following routine knee surgery was faced with complications and developed life-threatening medical issues. After surgery, everything seemed to be going according to plan. However, he began experiencing chest pain, prompting him, albeit reluctantly as usual, to reach out to his doctor. Upon visiting the ER, doctors discovered a Pulmonary Embolism, a potentially life-threatening blood clot in his lung. That day marked the beginning of a new chapter in his life, as he was now required to take blood thinners. To make matters worse, just a few days later, his blood test results revealed that he had three blood clotting disorders, causing his blood to be excessively thick and the risk of new clots forming extremely high. The tests also unveiled a serious inflammatory condition known as Sarcoidosis. What's astonishing is that he was diagnosed with all three types of Sarcoidosis—neurological, pulmonary, and ocular—simultaneously, a rarity in medical cases. Additionally, he was found to have an Adrenaline Disorder, rendering medications largely ineffective.

Over the years, he has faced unprecedented challenges, including surviving an unheard of 41 instances of blood clots in his lungs. Countless hospitalizations, numerous surgeries (including the removal of a lung lobe), and recurring illnesses have become part of his journey. Amidst it all, he has remained resilient, standing tall with a constant smile, never uttering a complaint. Despite encountering death and discovering additional blood disorders, he has steadfastly refused to let these adversities define him.

Despite doctors' warnings to take it easy, he understood that slowing down would mean surrendering to his circumstances. He firmly believes, "I determine when it's my time to leave, and I'm not going anywhere." Amidst his health struggles, Michael made significant life changes, relocating to a new city, getting married, and launching a home and garden center. Known for his dedication, he poured himself into the business, sometimes perhaps working excessively, though not necessarily a negative quality.  However, amidst his health challenges, he faced a sudden and tumultuous divorce. His now ex-wife drug him through the mud, obtaining a restraining order without cause, fabricating affectionate emails purportedly from him (leading to his arrest), and orchestrating the takeover of the garden center immediately following his arrest. She seized his pre-marriage assets, including his truck, essentially rendering him homeless and destitute, leaving him with barely anything but the clothes on his back.

Despite facing immense adversity, he refused to let it shatter him. This turbulent chapter in his life, albeit just a fraction of his experiences, is precisely why he coaches mindset. Having navigated through trials firsthand, he understands how to persevere and propel forward without faltering.
