I am "JUST ME" Part One

Well I guess the time has come for me to say a little about myself and, in the spirit of MLM Gateway, also see who reads this and wants to connect.

I have always prided myself on my Integrity. I believe, particularly after living here in beautiful Bali for so long, that what you put in - you get back, and what you simply take - will be taken from you. I consider myself to be a people person, that is, someone who 'knows' people and has studied human behavior and psychology over the years and still finds a lot to like about our 'destructive' species. I love to meet new people and make new connections.

My working career started straight out of school. I had a place reserved at art college (and I have always been a creative person - see some of my videos or websites, I do all of my own) but at age 16 I spotted a set of DJ double decks (Remember Vinyl Records?) in a shop window one day and it changed my life. I love the quote "It's not the things you do in life that you regret. It's the things you didn't do that you will regret".  Well I walked straight in that shop and asked them to hold the decks for 24 hours, then went home and talked my father into being a guarantor for me to buy them on credit. I then went and got a job at the local Boots the Chemist (at GBP16.50 a week salary) in order to pay for them - College was gone in an instant but it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. My first gig was the Boots Christmas Party armed with the decks, 2 small 50w speakers, a few flashing lights (home made) and 50 single records. From that gig I got 2 bookings; From there more and more until I became quite famous on the DJ circuit in the UK working at many clubs and mixing with celebrities at awards dinners and the like. I spent almost 8 years as a DJ and during that time I did an Open University Correspondence Marketing course and kept my low paying job with Boots (For 'security' to keep my parents happy) despite earning a small fortune as a DJ.

What I learned from that period was that being impulsive and taking action was a part of my make up and it has served me well during my life. We live in a world now where suspicion and distrust are a part of daily life and this flows like a river into the world of Network Marketing. Most people want others to believe them but are always 'cautious' to believe others. Many are "Procrastinators" and are the first to slam a program even though they watched their friends do well from it.

My philosophy has always been simple: I trust most people once and if they let me down then I move on. I make my own mistakes and I have my successes. Luckily the latter outnumber the former but to be successful you MUST step up and risk making the mistake. My parents thought I was crazy for throwing away a university education on a whim but I worked hard at my chosen alternative and it paid off big time.

My advice to anyone who has read this far without falling asleep:

The next time you look at a program say to yourself "How much will I make from this?" NOT "How much will this cost me?" If you can work at having an "I BELIEVE IN MYSELF" mindset then you can accomplish anything.
