How I Got Started With Young Living
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and let you know how I got started in oils.
I am a wife and homeschooling mom to two daughters in sunny SoCal, my family is my everything. My oldest just started her second year of college and my youngest just graduated high school. I also am a nanny for a family. I volunteer at church. I love to craft, sew, bake, and read. We are a theatre family, my daughters love to act and work tech, and I usually get pulled in as well whether I’m making costumes, working the box office or snack bar, or anything else that needs done. My days and hours are so jammed pack.
I use to be a HUGE oils skeptic! I had multiple friends tell me about oils, give me samples that I would lose before I could use them, and just go on and on about the blessings of oils in their lives. For all of you that tried, I apologize right now for the eye rolling and thoughts I had comparing it essentially with witchcraft in my mind, which I don’t believe in, the witchcraft that is.
One day at rehearsal my youngest daughter started to have an asthma attack and we couldn’t find her inhaler. Then I remembered we had taken her inhaler out of my purse earlier that week. My now upline at Young Living came over and said she had some peppermint oil if I wanted to use it on her to help her breathe easier. I was sure it wouldn't help and that I would need to rush her to the ER but at this point I was willing to try anything. So I said sure. It was almost miraculous how her breathing eased and she was able to finish the rehearsal and we never did end up in the ER.
So, I asked more questions. She was so patient and willing to answer all my questions. None were too crazy or weird. I signed up and got my kit.
But I was pretty busy when it arrived and it got pushed in the corner in the guest room for a few months. And I didn't really think about it unless I went into that room and I'd go I need to get to that.
Then my husband got laid off. And I was unsure what was going to happen. And my upline approached me at a different show rehearsal and said she heard that my husband got laid off and that Young Living had a business side.
I asked more questions. She said that I needed to share my love of the oils with others. I realized that I hadn't even gotten around to opening the box. I went home and opened the box and started to use the oils, skeptically still, then I started to notice a difference.
I asked more questions about what oils could help with various things. She taught me how to find my answers. I started using more oils.
I have a ton of medical issues and my immune system has been shot for most of my life. I was always getting sick, I lived my life not feeling good pretty much everyday. Since I've started to use the oils I have more good days than bad. I started to get a cold and was surprised to realize that it had been months since I was sick.
What a blessing these oils have been to help support my immune system as well as the other systems in my body to help it function better than it has in years.
I AM NOW AN OILY BELIEVER!
And the more I learn the more I want to share and help others.
