Is Karatbars Gold Too Expensive?

You can purchase the gold for less per gram. Some of them, such as Pamp Suisse are LBMA accredited refineries. The difference with the Karatbar is due to the security built in. Pamp Suisse does not offer the security technology that Karatbars offers.

In 1993 UBS bank from Switzerland announced the creation of the Kinebar which is the hologram feature on the back side of the gold. This was the first time in history that people felt comfortable removing their bullion from the vaults. Prior to that, the gold stayed in storage because it would lose value once if it was not under the bailsmen's watch.

If you took physical delivery and ever needed to convert the gold back into a currency, then the burden was on the holder of the gold to prove purity, fineness and weight once again. The creation of the hologram/ kinebar made world news within days. The kinebar gold bar is the most sought after gold in the world even today and allows the confidence to be restored to the owner to take physical delivery of the product. As long as the hologram remains intact, the holder does not have the burden to prove the gold has not been altered or manipulated. If the gold does not have this feature and you need to liquidate, then the burden is on you to find an assayer to assay the gold and prove fineness, purity and weight all over again. The process is not only costly but also time consuming. If you need to liquidate do you really want to wait for the process to be done before you get your cash???

There are only 2 refineries that use this technology other than Karatbars. They are Argo Heraeus and UBS.

Karatbars has always required this technology with with those who produce our product. Unfortunately around 3 years ago, UBS and Argo Heraeus trademarked the name Kinebar preventing us from using the word to show a comparison. We refer to our security as the hologram protection.

As of Jan of this year, Karatbars has created a much safer and secure product than anyone in the marketplace. At first corporate decided to go with the Karatbars name being embedded in the gold itself. This is quite a major feat to have a refinery actually mint the gold with your name embedded inside!!

If you notice the new Karatbars cards, the DNA is already included along with 2 (not 1) holograms... 1 is silver in appearance and is embedded in the card. The other hologram still remains on the back side of the gold. The name Karatbars is lasered in the gold as well beneath the hologram.

The hologram is a BIG deal..... as long as that hologram remains intact, it virtually takes away the question of whether you have tampered with the gold or tried to counterfeit the gold.

The DNA/ Genetic markers are there to prevent anyone from counterfeiting our gold. If you need to liquidate, it is easily proven whether you have altered the gold content or counterfeited the product.

Did you watch the you tube video showing how a major re-seller in NYC got hoodwinked by buying gold with only an etch test??? All those little gold shops, small jewelers and pawn shops are unlikely to have the equipment to verify the content of the golds weight, fineness and purity. If they have an extra 1 million laying around, they can buy one of the new laser testers that only high end refineries use.
