Top 7 Social Media Tips for Network Marketers

Today, I want to share my top 7 social media tips for network marketers. These are simple and practical things you can do to build your network marketing business via social media. 

1. Pick Your Niche

The first step is to pick your niche or target market. Which demographic of people do you want to focus on? If everyone is a prospect, no one is a prospect. All businesses have a target market. Spend some time and put some serious thought into your target market. Examples might include Millennial moms, military retirees, female executives, etc.  Whatever you do, pick a niche you are familiar with. 

2. Determine Your USP

Determine your unique selling proposition. What makes you different? What do you want to be known for with your target market? For example, I am the No B.S. Network Marketer. 

3. Pick one Platform

There are tons of different social media outlets. Rather than trying to master ALL of them, pick one and focus on that exclusively. Focus is key. Trust me, you would rather be excellent on ONE platform, than "average" on multiple platforms. Make sure you pick the platform that is the best match for your target market. 

4. Provide Value

Have a clear message. Provide value. Do not be someone who only talks about their business and just pitches people all the time. For example, if your company sells weight loss products, you could provide weight loss tips. 

5. Be Consistent

Give yourself time to succeed. Rome was not built in a day. Make a minimum two YEAR commitment to your company and the social media platform you chose. 

6. Have a Marketing Plan

Have a written checklist of what you will do EVERY SINGLE DAY on your chosen social media platform to grow your business. Failing to plan is planning to fail. Set yearly goals and then formulate a daily, weekly and monthly social media strategy. 

7. Build Your List

It is VITAL that you build your email list. Regardless of the platform you choose, your number one objective is to build your email list.  Use a capture page and auto-responder and put your link to your capture page in ALL of your messages.
