Our story starts just two years ago when our founder was studying to become a sommelier. She is a 3-tier sommelier today! During her studies, she was enjoying the wine she was learning about, but suffering from excrutiating headaches. As she researched, she realized that there is NO ONE WATCHING the wine community. What does that mean? The FDA only mandates that "includes sulfites" be added to the bottles of wine...there is no label included on wines! Can you believe that?! In a world where we are constantly watching what we put into our bodies, including calories, ingredients, etc...there is NO label on wine! Did you know that Roundup was found in wines?? Did you know that most people working in vineyards wear HAZMAT suits? Scout & Cellar goes beyond a label. We visit each vineyard making sure that no hazmat suit is needed, that no chemicals are used in the field or in the bottling process.
