How Are You Spending Your Time On Your Business?

Okay, so summer will be here before you know it. I'm busy making plans since I left one of my primary sources of income to focus solely on my faith and family, ESL teaching, and my business. I'm setting a financial goal for my business and am determined to make it happen by June 21st! As I learn more and more about marketing and daily schedules, I find that I am getting just as much accomplished when I work 1 hour a day on my business than when I work 3, 4, 5 hours or more. What is this phenomenon? After analyzing my results, I've arrived at this conclusion:

When we're pressed for time, we're less calculating and more willing to throw ourselves out there.

I really find that this is the case. If we only have, say, an hour or so to send follow-up messages or post updates, I think we manage time just as efficiently than if we give ourselves more time to surf the web, create ads, etc., and proceed to overthink. I overthink all the time in my business, and I'm over it. Of course, it's important to be careful with how we're promoting our businesses, but if we're so caught up in whether or not this image is sharp enough or your post is compelling enough, it's tempting to let anxiety take over and simply neglect to take action out of fear or insecurity.

This is why I'm actually setting a goal to meet, but my primary aim is to spend LESS time on my business and to place my promotions in active mode, meaning that I will simply schedule posts, articles, and other means of promotion, and then proceed to knock out that list of "to-do's" in one hour. As I stick to a stricter schedule and keep getting results, I'll add more ACTIVE time, but at this point, I'm simply finding it too easy to lose focus, visit other sites, and "mull" over every picture, message, or post. When we start valuing our time as money, I truly believe that our businesses are going to grow exponentially.

I've consistently earned sales and/or residual income these past couple of months, but these results weren't from hours of "strategy." They happened from being consistent and at the right place at the right time. Bring committed team members to your business and do your best to train them, but always keep in mind that your time is money, and savvy downlines will seek YOU out to train them. Be wise with how you invest your time. Stay consistent. Don't lose focus. The best is on its way! If you're looking for a completely free business and you'd like to work with me, check out my opportunity. See you on the inside!
