Is this the Death of Bitcoin?

There have been some alarming events concerning Bitcoin in recent weeks.

The opening of futures trading on Bitcoin will have serious long-term consequences on the future of Bitcoin. Wall Street NEVER looses and this could see manipulation of the Bitcoin market.

Also the soaring costs of transactions coupled with the ever growing delay in transaction confirmation speeds could see the end of Bitcoin.

However the lightning network proposes a solution to these issues.

Personally I find the lightning network an extremely worrying concept.

It looks all to similar to the banking industry with a third party holds the thing of value (Bitcoin) while everyone else has nothing but ‘promissory notes’ or tokens that say you are entitled to bitcoin.

This could easily open the door to multi-national corporations taking control of Bitcoin ownership and have people blindly queuing up to be deprived of their valuable Bitcoin.

So what solutions are available?

One option could be Lite Coin.

The value of lite coin has rocketed in recent weeks.

However Lite Coin is the ‘offspring’ of Bitcoin and if the block size remains at the same limited capacity of Bitcoin then it too will fall into the same difficulties.

Bitcoin Cash, with lower transaction fees and an increased block size could become the ‘real’ Bitcoin as it could easily offer more real value than the currently accepted ‘real’ Bitcoin.

Or there is another emerging crypto-currency that will be available to trade and mine from January 2018.

This currency has a tested transaction time of under 4 seconds and also offers a fixed transaction fee.

This currency is the brain child of one of the most exciting Social Networks you may never have heard of. This network site actually financially rewards active users, of which there are approximately 2 million (and growing).

This currency will also have the option of a pre-payment card so that you can make ‘real-world’ purchases and transactions with the currency. Negotiations are being held with several online and offline businesses to accept this currency for transactions. So this will definitely be one to watch, or participate in, for 2018.
