8 Ways to Live the Laptop Lifestyle

Today, I want to share 8 ways to live the laptop lifestyle. To clarify, I define the laptop lifestyle as having an online business that you can do from anywhere in the world. It must be :

• flexible,

• not require inventory,

• no employees needed,

• or need a fixed location.

# 1 Freelance Writer

If you live to write, this could be the ultimate laptop lifestyle business. You could ghostwrite for aspiring authors. You could write articles for bloggers and webmasters. You could help small businesses update their website. You could write sales copy for other people.

The options are endless. There are many websites that help freelance writers find clients. 

# 2 Virtual Assistant

Most small business owners are pressed for time. They need a “jack-of-all trades” who can take care of the time consuming tasks they either don’t know how to do, don’t want to do or feel they are not what is bringing in revenues but still need to be done. If you are well-rounded in skills and experience, a virtual assistant position may be a great laptop lifestyle choice. 

# 3 Blogger or Webmaster

Blogging can be a great way to live the laptop lifestyle. You can blog your passion and sell ad placements, your own services and gain a huge following.

# 4 YouTube Channel

There are many “You Tubers” making six figure incomes just by creating viral videos. The videos can be on nearly anything from do it yourself to simple Lego animation. If you are creative and understand the nuances on video creation, you could make huge amounts of money from ad placements within your viral videos. 

# 5 Affiliate Marketer

This laptop lifestyle goes hand in hand with #3. The majority of affiliate marketers do have a blog where they install text and banner ads from their partners. Many also use email marketing to promote their affiliate links.  

# 6 Video Editing

Many small business owners have a desire to create videos to market their business and educate potential customers. So they make the video, but you put in the professional “fine-tuning.” There is a huge need for this as many are using video. 

# 7 Social Media Marketer

Let’s admit it, social media can take a lot of time. And if you want to market your business products or services on places like:

• Facebook

• Linkedin

• Twitter

• Instagram

• Etc…

You will need someone that not only knows how, but also has the time to do so. If you can handle social media marketing, you could make a great laptop lifestyle living.

There are many new entrepreneurs willing to pay for help and advice to carry their business to new heights. If you have strong business “savvy,” you can market your business coaching services. 

Final Thoughts

As long as you have an internet connection, a laptop and some common sense, the laptop lifestyle is possible. Don’t let anyone tell you it isn’t reality because I know several people who are living the life and enjoy every minute of it.
