Money has a place and a priority..and it is emotional

Money has to be put into perspective like alot of other inanimate things that exist. There is no way around the fact that money is emotional, and at the same time it is still inanimate.

When money has more priority than it should, it causes problems. When there is a lack of money, there are problems.

So, there is a fine line sometimes and it is hard to keep the priority of money where it should be in our lives. Notice I said priority of money and not the money itself.

You can't build a house, a hospital, roads, or anything tangible without money. You build a small box for storing something it still takes money to buy a handful of boards to build it with.

So, we have to have money. Wouldn't it be nice if we were taught more from an early age about leverage and making that money work for us as we earn it on our jobs.

When was the last time a close friend or family member asked you, "Where are you getting your financial leverage from these days?" or "Are you still working that deal that is paying you x amount of dollars per month residually?"

Instead, they are asking you how much overtime have you been working or when do you go back out on the road?

We can change those circumstances. Money can be something that is talked about through a source of leverage. Shouldn't we keep working on that and find what works for us so that our kids will believe in it for their lives.

To begin with, what we need to ask ourselves daily is how can I put value into people's lives? How can I put value into the market place? We can't ask people to reach for their credit cards without providing some value first.

We make ourselves valuable by reading the right books and listening to leaders online. Then we apply what we have learned.

I am reading "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind" by T. Harv Eker for the second time. I am sure I will learn something no matter how many times I read it.

I also heard Grant Cardone make a video about the fact that having a million dollars is not enough. If we spend around $4000 per month, that million dollars will only last about 20 years or so.

It doesn't hurt to have a million dollars, of course, but it's not where we need to stop. So, where do we stop?

We actually don't. We start now building an email list and we continually work that email list until we die. As long as we can work a keyboard on a laptop, we learn and we build. We do that for ourselves and we do that for our future generations coming behind us.

That's the legacy we want to build. No matter what we are promoting as affiliate offers, we are mainly promoting ourselves and letting people know they can trust us and our content.

I actually believe in affiliate marketing and network marketing combined. In some ways they overlap. We are still mostly promoting other people's products. You do build a team in network marketing, but you also do that sometimes in affiliate marketing.

I believe in both industries. Aren't you glad that the internet exists and that we can find something truly solid to promote and work toward generating commissions in a legal, ethical way?
