Have you Ever Heard The Phrase Leaders Are Readers ?

Hello, As the saying goes not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers. Among the most active readers are financial billionaire Warren Buffet and Microsoft Founder Bill Gates.  Now I must confess that i have always been a reader since my childhood. But in 2015 as a result of listening to a weekday radio show associated with the business opportunity I was a member of , I became much more aware of books in the self development, self improvement sphere. The host almost daily read passages from and commented on two books; The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz and The Daily Stoic published with comments by author Ryan Holliday.

The Four Agreements-1. Be impeccable with your word. 2. Don' t take anything personally. 3. Don't make assumptions .4. Always do your best.

Now , if you are a student of self development, then you probably know that the ideas and practice go back a long way to ancient Greece and Rome. The thinkers/philosophers were Epictetus, Seneca, Marcus Aurelius and others. If you research it, you will find several websites dedicated to the study of their teachings.

As far as the present, how many books have you read in the last year ? Me, I read quite a few in that subject-Linchpin by Seth Godin; Selfmade by Nely Galan(former Latina CEO of Spanish language network Telemundo) , The Wealthy Class by Suze Orman; The Coddling of The American Mind by Jonathan Haidt & a co-author ;Like She Owns The Place by Cara Alwill Leyda.

Lastly I should mention one other book that I think I added to my library sometime earlier and that is The Soul of Money by financial coaches Lynn Twist and Tammy White.
