You're Allowed to Change your Mind!

Did you grow up thinking that you had to "do as you're told", eat your dinner before you could have a dessert and go to university to get a degree or you would not be employable?

I certainly was! And a lot of it has backfired!

Let me put this plainly:- Although I value things my parents taught me (and indeed, have taught my own child), they weren't always right. And especially not now, 50-odd years later. And because I thought they knew it all at the time, the result was that I grew up restricted in my thinking and potentially held back from making what would have been thought of "mistakes". Mistakes/failures are what help us grow and ultimately can result in huge success/reward. We just have to have the guts to go for it! We have to change our mindset.

• "Doing what you're told" will often result in blind following of authority figures in our lives. This may not always serve us well and will certainly muffle our ability to voice our opinions and debate various subjects.
• Dessert becomes a reward and using food as a reward most certainly can be blamed for many an eating disorder down the line.
• The student that isn't university material, or can't afford to go, will have feelings of inadequacy and failure.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

These are but a few examples of limiting beliefs that hold us back from being ourselves, becoming rounded, happy human beings. Having said that, from personal experience I can tell you that it's certainly easier not to "think outside the box". It can be very hard, and indeed, often isolating, to always think for yourself and then to share your thoughts. This is simply because the large majority of your family and friends don't. It takes courage and faith in your conviction to keep going and finding your truth.

Personal Development is the second fastest growing industry around the globe. People are sitting up and taking notice of the cycles of the lives of that of their parents/friends/neighbours, and saying, "that's not for me. I want more.." We're saying, I don't have to continue thinking this way because it's been shown to not be true. You're allowed to change your mind! Nothing is set in stone.

If you started out your working life as a teacher, what's to stop you from become a lawyer, farmer or detective later? It's usually only as we age and have some life experience that we are able to really understand ourselves and know our passions.

I have always wanted to help people, and so most of my life I have worked in the beauty & wellness industry. That passion hasn't changed, but when I realised it wasn't meeting all of my needs, I was forced to look outside that world. Luckily I found that missing link in personal development and have been able to make that a business, blending the various passions to create a whole package.

Working online, from home, was a sensible choice then, and a very attractive one now in this current global climate. I get to work the hours that suit me, still have a regular clinic day and earn an executive income. This is not actually an MLM business. My efforts could in fact earn me more than the person who originally enrolled me. Once an initial training phase is over, all the profits are mine.

Being a global business, this means you can work from anywhere and prospect practically anywhere in the world* (a few exceptions, mainly due to language barriers. Courses and training all conducted in English)
