Tuesday Is Cruise Day!

Today is Tuesday and Tuesday is Cruise Day!

No, there aren't any cruise ships moving right now.  They will be next year though and Living Golden Travel is getting out in front of them.

We have several cruises live and ready to go.  On Tuesdays, because Tuesday is Cruise Day, we spotlight one or more cruises.

Today, the spotlight is on the 2022 Grown and Sexy Cruise.  This Southern Caribbean cruise is 11 nights long.  That is correct.  I said ELEVEN NIGHTS!  This cruise is for us who want to relax to the max after the holidays are over.

We're getting away for ELEVEN days & ELEVEN nights.  We are sailing on the Anthem of the Seas, one of Royal Caribbean's Quantum-Class ships.  This ship is FABULOUS.  The one-of-a-kind North Star is on this ship.  The North Star is a Guinness World record-winning observation capsule that lifts the occupants 300 feet above sea level.   It also features the  Ripcord℠ by iFly, which is a sky-diving simulator.  There is the FlowRider, the surf simulator.  It's fun if you are good at it; it's FUNNY if you're not!   There is the Bionic Bar, which features a robotic bartender.  You can roller skate, ride bumper cars.    There is SO much to do aboard the ship that you might not want to get off.

However, with the five amazing ports that are scheduled on this sailing, you'll want to drag yourself away from the ship to experience all of the ports of call.

This cruise is leaving from Cape Liberty, NJ just outside of New York.  That means that I don't have to buy a plane ticket.  If you live nearby in the Northeast, you don't either.   The first stop is beautiful San Juan, Puerto Rico!  The temperature averages seventy degrees, which is great.  Bacardí rum distillery is twenty minutes from Old San Juan.  There are museums and parks and just a wealth of things to do in San Juan.  Remember, that's only the first port of call; there are four more to go!

Philipsburg is the second stop on our fabulous Grown and Sexy cruise.   Philipsburg is the capital of Sint Maarten, the Dutch side of St. Martin.  The airplanes fly so close to the beach, you could hitch a ride!  The St. Maarten zoo is a must-see.

St. John's is the third stop.  St. John's is the capital of Antigua and Barbuda, as well its largest city.  Antigua has 365 beaches.  There is also charming architecture to go along with coral reefs and a baroque cathedral.

Castries is the fourth stop on the Grown and Sexy cruise.  Castries is the capital of St. Lucia.  It's informally known as "the city that rose from the ashes" due to a massive fire on June 19, 1948 that destroyed 80% of the city and left 809 families homeless.  The city has recovered admirably, as evidence by the panoramic view from Morne Fortune.

Basseterre is our last port of call.  Basseterre is the capital St. Kitts and Nevis.  You can visit the Brimstone Hill Fortress in Bassetterre, which is very well preserved.  You can also take a ferry ride to Nevis to go clear-water snorkeling.

So, that is only a smattering of what's in store for us on the Grown and Sexy cruise and that is a LOT!
