You'll Never Sell Anything To Anyone
It's impossible to sell something.
You heard me. You can't sell anyone on anything. No idea, product, or service was ever sold.
Before you go on an internal rant about how I don't know what I'm talking about and work yourself up into a frenzy over it, let me elaborate.
Here's an old saying that will help clarify what I'm talking about.
"A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still."
Translation: If you overwhelm someone with facts, figures, and proof, showing them how their position is wrong, you can sometimes get them to agree with you.
But not for long.
Because the minute you're gone, they'll come up with a thousand reasons why they were right in the first place. They'll pick apart your argument in their head. When they're done, they'll go on believing what they've always believed. Knowing - for a fact - they're right.
Hasn't that happened to you? If the person you were talking to sold you something, you probably started looking for a refund.
It's called buyer's remorse, and it's a natural outcome of selling.
Everybody and their mom online is touting some new hack or mind-control technique that's guaranteed to "practically force people to buy!"
It's all bull^/*!.
Can you use words to compel someone to do something? Yes.
Can you convince people (for a moment) to take an action contrary to their best interest? Yes.
Will you get away with it and make a bunch of money short-term? Yes.
Do you really want to know how to take away a person's free will, force them to give you money, and be "successful" by stealing from people?
I sincerely hope the answer to that last one is an emphatic "NO!"
