From Car Crash To Entrepreneur

Hi fam!

My name is Robin, I'm 35 years young and I live in Lisbon (Portugal). I'm going to tell you a little bit about my story and why I decided to become and entrepreneur. If you identify yourself with my story or with anything I'm writing you can leave me a comment here or connect with me on Instagram.

I started my entrepreneur journey at the age of 16 after my father went broke and we were going through difficult times. At that time I didn't know half of what I know now about business and entrepreneurship and also I didn't have the mindset I have today. But even taught I started a book company that actually never worked because I didn't have the motivation and I build that company for all the wrong reasons.

Several years pasted by and there were no changes in our lives (I'm skipping the details so the article won't be super long) and then at the age of 26 that's when something happened. One day as my brother and I as well as some friends were on holidays in the south of Portugal, we were having fun as normal people do but this day was different. This day was different because this day we had a car crash. We were in a convertible where usually we were driving with the top down but this day the top was mounted up. We had no casualties on the accident but that was the breakthrough that I personally needed to take the necessary actions to change my life.

From there on, I started to go to church because I deeply believe that if I didn't die on that day it's because someone prevented us from dying that night. This is also the period where I started to develop the desire to become a successful entrepreneur.

I started to look for opportunities that would fit not only with my personality but also with my agenda and my goals. I've joined a few opportunities but I didn't really identify myself with most of them until I found the one where I am now, IM Academy. In the beginning I thought it was too good to be true and so I was a bit thrown off but after several months of testing the products and connecting to the community and the educators, after several international conventions I came to a conclusion that this is where I want to build my business.

For me this company is positioning itself to be one of the major companies in the next years that will be able to help people face most of the challenges that will arise. Not just because of the products and services they offer but because here you can really grow as a person. The Robin I am today is completely different from the Robin that started when I joined.
