Use Email Marketing To Develop The Know, Like and Trust Factor. Have you ever used emails to build your list?  Email marketing is an excellent tool to build your network and establish lasting relationships. 

As you know, people only buy from people they know, like and trust. What are you doing to make that happen for you? Do people know you? Have you given them any reason to like or trust you? This is a critical piece in marketing and it's one you have to master. 

Ask your contacts and clients for their email addresses and remember, never add anyone without their permission. Let them know that you will be contacting them periodically with important information in the form of a newsletter. What you provide must be relevant and useful to ensure they keep coming back to you. This will also ensure that they share your information. You can send marketing tools, resources, blog posts you write or those you come across that may useful. Anything inspirational and motivational is always well-received. 

As you continue to pump out the value, your list will trust you more and more. Why? Because you are helping them. You are giving them answers. You are being of service. People love when they are being helped. Most importantly, they love to know that someone cares. 

Subscribers can also be added to your list via a capture page where contact information is collected and added to the list as well as a sign-up box on your blog or website. This is the way to build and maintain relationships which will produce loyal customers. 

Rule of thumb: offer potential sign-ups something of value such as an e-book, cheat sheets or a free training. This is how you attract them to you in the first place. Any of those things should be what they need to ease a pain, answer a question or resolve an issue. In their eyes, you are the "go to" person. 

Once you have their contact information, you begin the job of building the relationship. Since your subscribers can unsubscribe at any time, keep your communication updated, targeted, fresh and informative. 

Remember, email marketing is a great way to build a list of loyal followers who will engage with your content, trust your brand and eventually buy your products or services. If you haven't utilized email marketing, it's time you did.
