What to do in Paris in 3 days

Paris, France is one of the most beautiful and romantic cities in the world, and also one of the most visited. It has been named the most visited city in the world by the United Nations World Tourism Organization three times in the last 15 years, due to its innumerable attractions and things to do during your stay. If you are planning on visiting Paris soon, it can be difficult to figure out how to fit everything you want to see into just 3 days. Here are some tips on what to do in Paris in 3 days.

1) Day 1 - The Louvre

This is a can't miss attraction. A three-hour visit should leave you plenty of time to tour France's most famous museum, which houses Europe's largest collection of art. You can also wander outside into Tuileries Gardens and have lunch at one of many nearby cafes. Finish off your day by strolling along Paris' most iconic avenue, The Champs-Élysées, and visiting Arc de Triomphe.

2) Day 2 - Montmartre

Grab a table at Jojo Cafe and drink coffee as you take in 360-degree views of Paris from Montmartre. Check out Musée de la Vie Romantique, where you’ll see paintings by Gustav Klimt, Edgar Degas, and Vincent van Gogh (don’t miss La Berceuse). Head to Sacré-Cœur Basilica for incredible views of Paris from atop Parc du Montmartre. Walk along Rue des Abbesses down past Folie Titon Boheme before stopping off at Chez Prune on rue Delambre for dinner. This restaurant is known for serving traditional French cuisine with Asian influences—so it won't break your bank account.

3) Day 3 - Eiffel Tower + Latin Quarter

We’ll start today by getting an early start (there’s much to do!) so that we can go up in Le Tour Eiffel! Then, let's work up an appetite with a walking tour of Latin Quarter, where you can find food from all over France and Europe. Dinner at Restaurant Secret d'Albert for a classic French meal! Go back to your hotel near Invalides Metro station at night to get ready for tomorrow... we have tickets to see Les Misérables!

Summary

You can't see it all in one trip—but you can see plenty. Here are some of our favorite things to do in Paris when we only have three days: The Louvre: This museum is enormous, but spending just a few hours exploring some of its most famous works is absolutely worth it. One highlight is Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. Be sure to also check out The Venus de Milo and Winged Victory. Because these pieces are so iconic, they will give you an idea of what art in general looks like in France. Even if you don't know anything about art, looking at these paintings and sculptures will give you a sense of how French artists approach their craft differently than American artists.
