We were put here to add value to other people's lives

We were actually put here to add value to other people. It's easy to constantly focus inwardly into our own lives. But the fact of the matter is that we are better off to focus on adding value to the marketplace.

We all need money. We all need to play big when it comes to money and life. We also need to consider what we can help other people with as far as value.

We have to remember that we don't get something for nothing. We have to provide value to people before we can ask them to spend money. There is more than one way to provide value.

In many cases, we build a valuable reputation and in doing so, we earn people's trust. When people trust us, they are willing to work with us.

I am a firm believer in building an email list. I have had my bumps in the road trying to build one. I have spent money on solo ads and not had many responses from those who opted in.

That meant that I was not providing enough value to those people who opted in. How do we know what one person considers value as opposed to another person as they come to your list?

That's where trial and error comes in and we have to try different things to reach those people. I used to purge people from my list too quickly. I have learned to just let it ride. I don't know that I will purge anybody anymore.

What if a few years down the line, I finally connect with that person and I'm able to provide the value they were looking for, or they finally found a point in their life that they were ready. Even if it's 20 or more years down the line.

That's how it works in this industry. We never know.

Now, we can't wait on our entire list that way. We do build an email list in order to develop a passive income on automation. That means that we need to figure out how to resonate with a good percentage of our readers much quicker.

So, as a baseline for providing value, I offer free content to my readers. I will be researching different topics and write about them in my own voice, maybe adding my own experience to the content.

In return for people subscribing to my list, my readers can use the email content as they wish. It is already written in my voice and I am perfectly fine with the email content being used by my readers as a base line in their own emails or blogs.
