Today I begin with creating an Ad by first recognizing a prospect’s consciousness to your product.

The customer is Most Aware-State of Awareness if he knows of your product, knows what it does, and knows he wants it. At this point, he just has not gotten around to buying it yet. Your headline and body text should state very little. The body of the advertisement simply reminds the prospect of the product features, its benefits and a call-to-action.

Let’s visit an example of the School of Direct Response Marketing advertisement:

You have just completed your first learning experience with the School of Direct Response Marketing.

You should be able to immediately apply your newly acquired skills to promoting an Instagram page for a local business.

Our advertisement captures your desire in the headline. Your desire is to move from your current state to an advanced state. We identify you as a flower in mature season. We use the metaphor “to bloom”. This desire to bloom promotes you to read the second line in our Ad copy.

The second line in our Ad copy reminds you of one of two things: 1) your first learning experience in our virtual learning environment, or 2) a call-to-action reminder to register. In either event, your first learning experience in our virtual learning environment is bridged with the actions of a blooming flower!

The third line in our Ad copy acknowledges that you can apply what you learned immediately to promote an Instagram page for a local business. The learned skill set can earn you money. It provides value to you as the customer before we even ask for the sale!

  • The fourth line in our ad copy exhibits our core values.
  • The fifth line reminds you that a business transaction is a two way exchange.
  • The sixth line is a Call-To-Action!
