Responding To Objections May Make Or Break Your Business.

Objections are great. They show prospects are actually invested enough in the conversation to care. The most important thing you must remember in handling objections are, do not get defensive and don’t go into convincing mode. If you have a business full of people you had to convince to join, you will have to convince them to build. In other words, you will have an adult baby-sitting service, not a network marketing business. The mindset is that you are sorting people not convincing them. Here are some common objections, with responses that really work.

1. Discuss with spouse – “of course you should discuss this with your spouse, let me know if they have any questions, I talk to spouses all the time. Do you want to set up a call within the next 24-hours.”

2. Worried about what people think. “There will be people that don’t support your business, but why do you care? You have to be willing to believe that you deserve more. There is very little risk vs. reward. Our support structure is second to none. When you get this going, life is a blast. I love getting up everyday to try and find new business partners.”

3. Time – “How much time do you think you need? Truth be told, we look for busy people. Busy people get things done. Truth be told we can find a few minutes a day to build a business if it’s a priority. We start this business after training, working 5 minutes a day. No joke. Look this is a 10 minutes here 15 minutes there business. I’m not really interested in whether you have the time, we all can find time if this becomes one of your priorities.”

4. Money – “If money weren’t an issue, you would be willing to jump in and build? I’ll keep you laser focused so that you get your upfront fee back before you get your credit card bill.” If they need time to get money, schedule an enrollment appointment. That means asking them when they think they will have the start-up cost. When they say 2 weeks, then make a firm appointment time for you to call them for enrollment. If they won’t schedule, they aren’t interested.

5. I don’t want to bother friends or family. “Why do you think we would like doing that either? If you are doing that, then you are not following the system. We provide some amazing services. If you are coachable, you won’t feel that way.” 

6. I don’t know enough people – “How many people do you think you need to know? I assure you if you follow our system you will have more than enough people to help you get started. How many people are in your contacts in your phone?”

7. I’m no good at sales – “Why do you think you have to be a sales person? We don’t sell, we find people that have a passion for more.”

8. Timing – “When would be the right time? You know there never is a perfect time. Lets talk about how this could fit in to your schedule.”

9. Is this a pyramid? “What’s your definition of a pyramid? We sell products, pyramids schemes don’t. Are you asking if this is network marketing? It most certainly is. It offers a very lucrative upfront and residual income source, unlike most jobs I have ever seen.”

Here is the funny thing about the business and objections. Whatever you are most unsure about, you will get asked the most. Don’t really believe in this business model. You will be ask about pyramids. Don’t think you are good at sales, your prospects will tell you they aren’t either. Make sure you have sufficiently answered your objections, so that you can have a positive attitude and field any objections that come your way!

IMPORTANT NOTE: These answers have to be honest and relate to the current opportunity you are working. If they don’t, you may be in the wrong opportunity.
