What are we focused on?

I will be transparent. I have alot of time on my hands over the 4th of July holiday this year. I have time to do alot of writing. I have time to do alot of thinking. I also have time to refocus.

I have mentioned a few times the video that I saw of a panel being interviewed. The panel was a group of highly successful online business leaders. I knew some of them and some of them I didn't.

One of the ones I knew from other videos was Diane Hochman. You can google her and learn more about her. She made up her mind to succeed and she did. She can be proud of that.

She was the one that said if she had to start over completely the next day, she would begin by building her email list. Now, not all people understand the importance of that. An email list is actually the core of any business you have.

Even if you have a brick and mortar store, which right now may or may not be doing well with this Covid-19 pandemic, you still need to offer something free from your store to each customer. In return for that free gift, you need to get a good email address.

So, how does that tie in to the title of this article. Focus on building an email list regardless of what kind of business you are involved in. Provide value to that list on a regular basis. Keep your name in front of them on a regular basis.

So, we are actually focused on two things. First, gathering email addresses and building our subscriber base. That's number one. Second, providing value to those readers. That is where trial and error comes in.

It may take some time to figure out what is valuable to your readers. It probably won't be the same thing for all your readers. Try different content, ask for feedback, and keep working on your content.

Our email list is a dynamic thing. Do you have to work on it day and night? No, not really. Will you need to work on it every day, possibly seven days a week in the beginning? Very likely until you have responsive readers that reply to you through some form of communication.

Remember, we are here to serve people. We are here to help guide them to a better life. Some will have online skills and some won't. Some will have the right mindset and some won't. We have to have patience with that.

Focus on providing valuable information. Focus on getting people on board with your email list. Then, stay focused on providing more valuable information and helping those who get in touch with you. Help them with their issues, the best way you know how.

Think big. Don't think small. Plan big. Don't mentally sabotage yourself. Plan to have the 50,000 subscribers that Send Shark will allow for the $25/month. Plan to provide all of them with as much value as possible.

See what happens with your income with that kind of focus. I don't know what will happen and neither do you, but you need to plan big and work big.
