I'm just curious, would you like to stop guessing?

These are interesting times. And I'm not talking about the obvious and rather unpleasant things that are going on in the world around us.

I'm talking about innovation and opportunities.

I attended a digital event for the company I'm with last weekend where one of the speakers talked about the products. One of the things that stuck with me was the question “do you check the oil in your car?”.

If we don’t check the oil in our car, it would end up breaking. Or we’d get a ton of warnings on our dashboard. Most people know this and that's why we make a habit of checking it ourselves or have the people at the repair shop do it. 

But, if you could, would you check the “oil” in your body? 

I work with test-based health. At least that's what I say when people ask me what I do anyway. They usually look puzzled. They think I'm working in a hospital or something like that. 

I don't.

I work with people. I work with helping them to get a better understanding of their health by getting an idea of how their bodies look on the inside. 

The way this is done is by a dry blood test. A few drops of blood are sent to an independent lab and tested. A few weeks later I and the person I'm working with get the result and we can see what's up in their body. It's an evidence-based way to work with nutrition and supplements. 

Let me ask you again. If you could check how your body is doing, would you? Our bodies have the dashboards too, we're just much better at ignoring them than we are with the ones in the car. 

Let me also ask you, if you could help people see how their bodies are doing on the inside, would you? Do you think it would be easier to explain what people need if you had a test result to lean on?

I believe it's time to stop the guesswork and make evidence-based health work for the people we're looking to help. That way it will also work for our business. I do believe this is the future.
