Are you taking CBD? If not, why not?

Hi there, a bit about me before I get into the reasons you should be taking CBD.

My name is Brad and a couple Octobers ago I was diagnosed with Type II diabetes. It came as a complete surprise to me and my doctor. I did not have any signs or symptoms of being diabetic and it was only first found in an annual checkup blood work.

The results prompted my doctor to also request an A1C, my value at the time was 6.9% and this means, according to the test results, that anything about 6.5% without knowing you have diabetes should be monitored and follow up testing conducted. The conversation with my doctor also included me taking Metformin.

Long story short, in 3 months I was able to bring all my blood work into the green zone and lowered my A1X to 5.7%, which means I reduced my levels to a prediabetic state all

without drugs or exercise.

What I did change was what I ate and when I ate, that was it. I stopped eating processed foods, also stopped eating "white" foods and started intermittent fasting. My schedule was 23 hours and 16 hours fasting. I would eat dinner one day and the next lunch then dinner, never eating before 12:00 PM and never eating after 8:00 PM. I also included CBD into my regimen because I had read that it was being studied to help level blood glucose.

This brings me to why I think you could benefit from taking CBD. I am not a doctor, and this is not to be taken as such. These are my opinions after extensive research into the research being done on CBD.

At this moment, according to pubmed.gov there are currently 8,447 articles about "CBD" and 893 for CBD + cancer. If you go to pubmed.gov to look at the results you can easily search by CBD + <the condition> you are curious about.

I am interested in the cancer research since I have a family member currently battling brain cancer with chemotherapy and wanted to see how CBD could help in the fight.

There are also 128 results for CBD + diabetes.

Other major areas of research regarding CBD are:

Pain

Helping to Decrease Opioid Use

Anxiety

Epilepsy

Glaucoma

HIV/AIDS Symptoms

Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Movement Disorders due to Tourette Syndrome

Multiple Sclerosis

Nausea and Vomiting Related to Cancer Chemotherapy

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

Sleep Problems

This list is not all inclusive but gives you some idea and the range of interest in how CBD can help with these conditions.

Do your research, see if it is right for you, then decide. For me I choose to be an early adopter with the health benefits of CBD.

All the best and to you good health.
