YOU CAN BE AN ENTREPRENEUR

I am a Jamaican from a fairly large family – six boys and two girls – and whatever we had served us well during our time growing up.

Growing up, I never knew how hard my parents had to struggle to provide for us because we always had food on the table and we all attended school. I thought hand-me-downs were normal because each of us as kids could not wait to get to wear the clothes of the older sibling. We paid special attention to new clothes and if they were not bought for me, I would eagerly look forward to getting my turn at wear as soon as they were handed down.

My parents were big on getting us a good education and so they invested in us attending school and college. We were always told that the way forward was going to school, getting a good education and getting a good job. That to them, was the way to succeed in life.

Earning additional income from other jobs or having a business was not something that was discussed by my parents. My father however was a small scale sugarcane and bee farmer. He never thought of expanding on a massive scale in order to develop and nurture a thriving business. His thoughts were always on current expenses and making sure that food and shelter were available in the present time, for leaving a legacy for his family.

Through the years growing up, I realized that getting a good education and a good job were not good pre-requisites for leaving a lasting legacy for my children. Also, being born and raised in Jamaica during a time of increasing crime and a worsening economy, I quickly realized that more needed to be done and I had to find a way to provide for my family economically as well as find a safe environment for them.

Like most individuals seeking a new opportunity and a better way of life, I came to the United States and became a citizen so that I could benefit from the proverbial American Dream. We all know what that is; a dictionary definition describes it as – the ideal that every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative. My earning potential then would be based on my own efforts and the environment encourages the achievement of success.

I have found that opportunity and it is called the Free Enterprise. Primerica has given me that opportunity where success is dependent on my own efforts. I am also motivated by the fact that Primerica is about “helping families earn more income and become properly protected, debt free and financially independent.”

Primerica has a system in place that is designed for success, I know that through 5-10 people and their referrals, I can build my own agency with 24-40 licensed agents in as little as 5-12 months while earning a six figure income.

Primerica has found me again and this time is the ideal time because I am hungry, motivated and eager to earn, while building a business and taking care of my family. The system is not as complicated as some I have seen and it only takes $124 to begin. The fee covers the cost of licenses, background checks and finger prints. This business is regulated as Primerica is a distributor of financial products hence licenses are necessary as well as strict policies that guide business practices. Primerica is described as a business within a business and you do not need a lot of money to start.
