Succeeding With Content Marketing
I get a lot of questions when it comes to promoting affiliate programs online, specifically social media.
When I first got into the business of internet marketing, I didn't know much about the processes of sales funnels or driving traffic, but I did know there were many opportunities with social media platforms.
Instagram was the one I chose to utilize and quickly built up my following to 300,000 followers. Many people ask me what the biggest key is to creating a following and it's simple. Know the platform you are on and consistently produce quality content.
If you continually provide your followers with value, later on down the road they will buy your product or offer.
Another common problem I see is that people don't capitalize on their strengths and try too hard to improve on their weaknesses. What I mean by this is that some people are born writers, but they insist on making youtube videos despite the fact that they just aren't good on camera. This is backwards thinking. This type of person should be pumping out written blog content every single day and trying to get posts out to every source that they possibly can.
Maybe the biggest factor overall that keeps the majority of people from succeeding with content marketing is that they simply quit too early. See, to the average person, sitting on your phone all day posting to Instagram may seem like an easy and lazy task. But what they don't see is the hours of content creation, the time it takes to schedule a month of posts and the effort it takes to engage with your followers. Make no mistake about it, creating content on any medium is extremely hard work, but the effort is well worth it. When you have loyal followers and have established yourself as an authority, it then becomes very easy to drive traffic to your affiliate offers and convert sales.

Get started today. Your plan doesn't have to be perfect, just get started. This is the hardest step of all, but once you get the ball rolling momentum will be on your side and you will start gaining traction before you know it.
So what are some action steps that you can take today?
First, figure out what medium you excel at. Are you good on camera? Can you write fascinating blog posts? Maybe you have a good voice and can talk for hours on end, a podcast is right for you! Figure out one that you excel at and focus on that at first.
Then, create 1 piece of content and get it posted THAT DAY. No excuses, get it done and over with.
Take some time to sit down and create 1 month worth of content, that way you aren't playing catchup the entire time and have your content ready to go for the world to see.
