When I first got involved with Metro Public Adjustment it was through an ad promoting the recruiting program. It mentioned starting your own business as a Property Inspector. I was looking for an additional opportunity and since I have a real estate background, was curious. Finding out more being what in the insurance industry refers to as a Public Adjuster was intriguing. I have to be honest, I only heard the term a long time ago and wasn't sure what it meant until I watched the Mero recruiting video.

I fell in love with the business right away. What I learned in that presentation was fascinating. Which is why I always share it with people new to the opportunity. Even now, when I tell people what I do they often say they never heard that the service was offered.

In many cases home owners don't understand that they have an advocate available to them when they have property damage. Even when they get their claim denied by their insurance company or receive a settlement check they're not happy about. I've talked to some owners who gotten checks that are just sitting in their bank account because it's not enough to pay the contractor's estimate for repairs.

So what is a Public Adjuster? They work on behalf of the policy holder, not the insurance company. Metro Public Adjustment, Inc. is the largest in the United States and has been in business for 30 years. They are looking to take on more Claims Reps. This amazing business is free of charge and provides paid training. You join as a 1099 Independent Contractor. You are paid $200 for each claim you get approved. Once you obtain your state license then you earn a percentage of the fees charged on the back end. Metro also provides training weekly through Zoom calls and you always have support through your trainer and upline. You're in business for yourself but not by yourself.

You can work with clients anywhere in the United States and you can join if you reside in the US, EXCEPT for the following states: AL, AR, FL, LA, WA.

The process for working with home owners works like this: You start learning how to review their insurance policy to help them see what they're covered for. They can take this information back to their agent to get it updated. Then we do a Zoom walk through of the property. You or the owner can also take pictures of the damage. If it's determined that there may be a claim a Field Adjuster is scheduled to come out to do a physical inspection. The insurance company will also have their adjuster arrange to come out. Then Metro negotiates with the insurance company to help the home owner get the best compensation for their claim.
