I quit MLM...
I've said that to myself at least ten thousand times during the past 17-years. I definitely have a love-hate relationship with this industry. Can you relate?
Most days I love it, but there are other days I question my sanity and wonder what my life might have been like had I never found network marketing.
Network marketing has definitely helped me become a better person. The skills I learned helped me in my military career. They helped me be a better dad, son and husband. They even helped me build several successful non-MLM businesses.
While I've had my share of success, and made pretty good money, I've experienced disappointments, setbacks and frustration just like every other person in our industry.
- Attrition...
- No duplication...
- A struggle to find quality people...
- Unsupportive friends and family...
- Companies going under or changing the deal...
- Tire kickers...
- Greedy companies....
And hundreds of other things.
No matter how many times I've mentally quit, I've always stuck around. Why? Because I haven't found anything better than what our industry offers ordinary people.
No, we ain't perfect. Far from it. We have our share of critics. But, network marketing has some great benefits.

- Extra Income...
- Personal Growth...
- Low-Cost Business...
- Tax Advantages...
- Flexibility...
- New Friendships...
- Access to Great Products...
- Travel...
- And much more...
After 17-years in the industry, this is what I have concluded:
We are a tremendous opportunity for GO-GETTERS, someone with skills, ambition, hustle and contacts. For this rare person, I believe there is no better opportunity in the world to create a HUGE income.
We are a great business for the part-timer, someone who doesn't have a lot of money but wants to create long-term wealth. If someone could pick a company, stick with it for 20-40 years, and build up and maintain even a $300 to $1000 per month income, they could take that money, live debt free, invest wisely, and retire as a millionaire (even if they were never officially a MLM Millionaire). Combine that with the annual tax savings and it is definitely win-win.
We are also a great personal development course. Spending four or five years in this industry will help you become a very SKILLED person in the market place. It will teach you how to be your own CEO or help you become a successful corporate executive. You'll learn a lot about leadership, sales, communication, people skills, entrepreneurship, and more.
We're even a great hobby, if that's what you want from it. You can meet some great people, travel to some cool events, have fun, be recognized for your contributions and be part of something bigger than yourself.
Obviously, I must say that individual results will vary, but I do believe what I just said is possible for EVERYONE reading this email. You just have to decide what participation level you will choose. There is no right or wrong answer.
In addition, I don't think anyone should QUIT the industry. You might change your participation level at some point, but there are just a ton of great perks for being involved in this industry.
And no, I haven't quit anything. I'm actually the top rep in my company. If nothing else, I hope the title got your attention.
