Looking for Partners is a two way street
You are here looking for business partners which is awesome. Here are some things to ask yourself about your company.
1.Why is my company any better than any other company other members are already a member of?
2.Why should I expect anyone to become a partner of my business if I am not going to become a partner of theirs?
3.Is there something about their company that could benefit me and or my customers. Maybe they have a few different products that my company doesn’t have?
I know you cannot belong to every company that comes along as the monthly fees can mount up but remember that is also true of the people you are approaching.
I want to tell you what I do, I look at every company and talk to as many people as I can. I look for someone I feel comfortable working with and who feels sincerely interested in me becoming their business partner. Trust me I have met many on here who have no idea what it means to be truly interested in you as a new business partner as they are only in it for what they can get by signing you up.
I also look at the product or products their company has to offer and of what benefit they would be to me, whether it be cleaning products, supplements, roadside assistance and the list goes on. If you are for example with a supplement company and there is another one that offers green cleaning products, don't be afraid to join them as you are not being unfair to your first company and look at it this way if your company said gee i wish your company had cleaning products or a natural chewing gum you then can say well XYZ doesn't but i am also with ABC company and we do offer those products, what do you think that customer is going to do, probably become the best customer you have and buy from both companies.
For example, I was approached by someone the other day to join their company, they could not tell me why I should join them other than it was a great company and when I asked him if he could see how the travel discount cards could help promote his business he out rightly said “I don’t want to join your company”. What do you think that said to me? It said I do not want to be bothered with someone who cares less about me and what my company has to offer than about what me signing with his company would get him. Now if he had of said no I am sorry but it does not fit with what I am doing at the present time, I would have replied with that is ok and I understand please keep me in mind for some time in the future. Rudeness gets you now where.
So I at the present time, I am maxed on the number of companies I can join and thank all those who ask me to be their partners.
I only ask you to partner with me if and only if you can see how handing out $200 travel discount cards for free (cost 20 cents each) can be to get people’s attention for you company.
People love to travel and by giving them something of value for free they feel appreciated and are far more willing to listen to you explain why your products are so great and then allow them to make an informed decision.
If they say no then be considerate of their decision and do not be rude. It is known that negative energy travels faster than positive energy so always censor what and how you say what you are about to say.
