I joined Usborne Books at Home in July 2019.

Why?

Because I love reading, absolutely. Speaks for itself.

Access to new books and free books. Yes. Usborne offers you the opportunity to gain free books on your orders over 120. What you do with them are up to you. Read them, sell them, donate them. We can pre-order new titles in advance. Very exciting! Plus you get 24% commission!

Because I wanted a new focus. I had a breakdown. Anxiety and depression were really difficult. Usborne and starting my own business gave me a focus. How do I do this? Totally up to you! Online, face to fact events (pre-lockdown of course!) virtual events. It would be great. It is my business my way.

I knew I would be supported. I have a fabulous mentor and divisional leader and great fellow team members. We even have optional virtual socials. These friendships were unexpected, and have helped me feel grounded during lockdown.

It got me back to work. After a few weeks, I decided to update my CV and my new found confidence also shone through to give me two interviews, one of which became my current part time job.

It gave me a focus in furlough. When I was furloughed it enabled me to have a focus on something other than not working. I have been able to grow my team, increase the variety of my posts, start to support other team members as my mentor's team grows and feels more like a community. I feel more able to answer queries and offer suggestions within the group setting and I love hearing about the success of others. You see, at Usborne, it isn't a competition, it really is a team effort.
