COVID 19, the worst is yet to come?

Boris grounded us all and told us to stay inside to protect us from a world wide pandemic, COVID 19.

An illness that would wipe out millions of individuals who didn't deserve what was coming to them.

Go out, Stay in, Be home by 7, drink till 11, eat out to help out, drink up and fuck off, Work from home, Economy suffers, go out to work, run the risk of catching this disease!! 

Furlough scheme kicked in and helped businesses stay afloat during these tough times, especially in the hospitality sector.

many individuals stuck to the guidelines to protect loved ones, others held no accountability for their actions and have put us back to a position of weakness and being unable to live our day to day lives.

Businesses that had been established for 100s of years, gone!! The online shopping craze had forced the retail dinosaurs into extinction. 

This was a real wake up call for me. I own a plumbing and heating company in the UK as do so many others. many firms out of business, from plumbing and heating, electrical, carpentry and general building to manufacturing, retail and haulage. The only industry that has survived is the online market. the economy is changing to a digital era. 

The ridiculous hours, the time I was missing with my family, the irreversible long term damage id inflicted on my body over the years through lifting heavy goods, awkward positions and clear disregard for health and safety. I only have myself to blame for that.

However, I also know I am the only one who can change that.

My decision was swayed back in MARCH 2020. My company, as were many, was affected by COVID 19. lost contracts due to going out of business or change of operation, money tight around the UK so jobs were cancelled or delayed due to houses being locked to the trades unless in an emergency, materials were a nightmare to acquire. It just put everything into perspective. 

The economy needs to move, and the only way in my field for that to happen was an exchange of money for a service provided. this wasn't happening and everyday it slowed down.

Online retail wasn't for me! I didn't have the space to order 3 million of 1 item from china and store it, neither did I want to be getting involved in an already saturated market.

$6.3 TRILLION A DAY, THAT, is the industry I wanted to be involved in. A work from home/anywhere industry that wasn't affected by anything that man could throw at it!

As a result of the negligent few, the whole of the UK is now in full lockdown, AGAIN. 

With Brexit, COVID 19 and many other influences throughout this troubled era, its a sign that we all need to make changes to survive on this planet.
