Are customer give-aways the thing of the past? Do they really work? Really?

I go to a big boxed store which shall go nameless, way to often and buy way too much stuff. Why? Because I'm a sucker for the free samples of food. I can have almost a whole free lunch, one bite at a time. Are you like me where it gets really addicting especially when your hungry and are close to the place? OMG, it an obsession and maybe I need to check myself into somewhere to get this handled, but let's look at this from a business standpoint. How does one product stand apart from another, the packaging? The contents? The price? How many times have we purchased something only to be disappointed by the picture on the box? It can be frustrating, so to solve that if one were just to "taste" it before you buy it, only if you like it, makes this marketing work. Obviously, its not always the price because you can go to a dollar store and get a dollars' worth of product just to take a chance but we don't want to pay $13.99 for something only to have to throw it away. Its a business expense to give away the product for free as a sample. Besides setting that product apart from the others in the freezer, the psychology I feel is that, I'm not trained in this, its just my observation, but I feel that once I taste it I feel I have to get it. And I want to know how organic is the product, and be willing to listen to the lady talk about the ingredients. Maybe not then, but when the time comes I need those organic tamales, those will be in my shopping cart. Another business point is that I'm making the store a destination place, meaning I will go out of my way to come back to that store just for the free stuff. And of course, while I'm there, put up some ungodly amount of mayonnaise that will take me 3 years to finish off, which by the way I'll throw out way before because of spoilage. And my last point is that I think food tastes better on a toothpick, it just does.

Do you have a free sample to give away to your prospects? If you don't I came across a pretty good product that you can give to your clients because of the commonality of the product, travel. We all like to travel, we have fond or otherwise vivid memories of places we've been or dream of going. We tweet them, post them, and have them in our social media. We see them in all our friends feed and comment, "wishing I was there, miss you guys, bring us back a t-shirt!" The thing is you're not selling travel, you are giving away future experiences that your prospect will remember you, and when the time comes, come back to you and buy what you're selling.

If that is not enough to get paid when your prospect uses the product you can earn up to $100. Yes, you give something away that has value, a real $200 cash value, and get a happy prospect. I think the saying goes, happy prospect, happy life.

Now the last thing is that this product as simple as it is costs you 20 cents. As a independent business owner, distributing the cards you don't need to buy on a auto-ship, pay for monthly websites, just pass out the cards.  Get 100, 1000 or 5000 of them. The question becomes how many cards do you want out into peoples hands? Now multiply that by potentially $100. That sounds pretty straightforward to me.

So, for the time old adage, give-aways are not going away anytime soon, they really work. They work across many, many industries. You can have your free give-away from me by calling me directly and I'll send one off in the mail or you can email or text and I'll send a "virtual" card over.
