BENT ON BENTLEY

Ever since I was 16 years old I dreamed of what success would look like. To me it was having the mega mansion and my sky blue convertible Bentley with black leather interior.

Like most young kids I was ambitious. I already knew that I wanted to have my own business. I really had no idea of what type of business or how I was going to do it.

At the age of 14 I set up a stand made up of a wooden milk crate and a sheet of wooden panel to display my products. I sold trinkets I found around my house on the street corner just to make a few bucks. I dreamed that one day I would be able to buy my Bentley.

Your desire to figure out what success will mean to you and how it will feel is a major piece of the success puzzle itself. Even if you don’t know what you would do, the mere thought or emotion can drive you to get there.

As I got older many of my goals changed but they seemed unachievable to some people. I didn’t care because I looked up to those who achieved what I wanted to achieve. I understood that most achievers I looked up to didn’t have any of the successes they now enjoyed and they had to experience the setbacks and pitfalls, as do all achievers.

Most people don’t understand that when you envision yourself accomplishing the things that you desire it creates a powerful positive emotion. That emotion can serve as a motivator and propel you to keep pushing when you feel like you had enough.

Imagine of having that dream car or multi-million dollar home, taking that dream vacation without blinking an eye of the cost, hosting incredible parties with family and friends, sending your kids to the best schools and doing more and paying cash for it all. These are emotions that can keep you keeping on in spite of any setbacks or naysayers.

As a network marketing entrepreneur you want your dreams to become your reality. At times you may feel like you’re being tugged in many directions on how best to make those dreams come to fruition. You may even find yourself pumping money into what seems to be a bottomless pit. It’s a risk all entrepreneurs take.

As the old saying goes, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.”
