How I Became Champion

Hi everyone, I have been on a journey of self discovery and positive change for a while now, but just started seriously again after months of being away from it actively, because when you delve into this world, you will never truly forget the path to betterment.

Well after reading books and watching podcasts and inspirational content, I have been exposed to a multitude of different philosophies and attitudes.  I find it fulfilling to see how other people found how to be their best selves and feel that I may be able to take one or two things from some of them and help me arrive at a better version of myself since life is about being better, day by day.  And while not everyone is saying the exact same thing, they kinda are because "success leaves clues."

One of those is to expose yourself to better thought processes by following systems that work.  The most basic exposure is reading.  Warren Buffet says that he reads 5-6 hours a day.  Hours!  And many of the other success giants read one to two books a week, with some reading a book a day.  We must know that we don't have all the answers ourselves, but there are resources to help us find more answers than we currently do.  Those resources can be found in a variety of places, but most easily in books.  We can have a mentor like Warren Buffet or Les Brown or Dale Carnegie or Wesley Virgin or Tony Robins or Lisa Nichols or Zig Ziglar or Grant Cardone or Oprah Winfrey through reading.  We can exercise our mind and make our lives better through regularly partaking of books from people who have done well what we want to do.  There just aren't any excuses in our culture to fail.  If they can do it, so can we.

Another way we expose ourselves to better thought processes is by listening to podcasts. They are readily and abundantly available on various stations and YouTube (my personal favorite).  You can choose to study one person extensively or a lot of different people daily. If the greats, the people who succeed are pliable and willing to learn, we should be too.

Gratitude is another way build better thought processes.  Again, successful people start their day by saying, out loud, so many things they are thankful for.  This seems like such a simple idea that most people forget or gloss over it.  A daily statement of gratitude puts you in a place to acknowledge all that you have and opens you up to receive more.  I am grateful for the most important things right down to the least important.  Personally, I like to not repeat the same things over and over because there are just so many things that I'm grateful for that I don't want to relegate my thanks to just a few areas.

So, reading, listening to podcasts, and expressing gratitude brought me to a place and time where I was in a space with like minded people who do the same.  One of those people exposed me to such an inspirational video that I decided right then, as I walked the isles of Walmart, that yes, I AM A Champion!  Pumped up, then next person I saw, I stopped and asked, do you know who I am?  "No" he replied.  "I am a champion!" I responded energetically, to which he readily agreed (I guess I would have, too, if a stranger approached me with such a question.)

So as Champion, I look at what other champions do, and I do that.  Champions not only win, but they add value, and I hope in this short introduction,  I have done that for you!
