When your product is FREEDOM people crave it

When I first learned about network marketing, I realized that I could have financial freedom and freedom of time if I could help enough others and leverage their efforts.

I joined a new fast growing company and had immediate financial success.

Walking away from the corporate world the last day of 1993 I became a full-time Network Marketer. Then, with a rude awakening, reality set in and the company I had chosen started falling apart.

The desire for freedom remained.

Still desiring freedom I found and joined another company and began moving toward the top. That company, eventually, went bankrupt.

The assumption was that by joining a new company the chances of rising to and being at the top would assure a higher income. I bought into this premise and continued to seek out new companies with innovative products and breakthrough compensation plans.

I didn’t realize that this was a formula for continuing disappointment. The facts are that 97% of new businesses fail. Not just in Network Marketing but all new businesses across the board.

Over the years I have been a top earner in several start-up companies only to have my pay checks disappear because of bankruptcies - mergers and closings.

Then, a trusted friend, Tom introduced me to 4Life.

Tom had been my upline and a mentor in the second company I mentioned above that went bankrupt.

Relationships endure when companies do not.

We had kept in touch and maintained our friendship over the years. He was one of those that had told me 97% of new companies fail.

He had been the number four earner in our previous, now bankrupt, company and had lost his check too. He told how he had started with two people and began introducing his previous team to 4Life. His business had grown in 50 countries because the company had expanded worldwide and had been opening new offices abroad as well as the US.

He sent me an article he had written that explained why a friend of his had struggled over 20 years because he was prospecting with and teaching about how the product worked, the names of the company leaders, how the compensation plan worked.

I had to confess I had fallen into that trap too.
