So I get a lot of questions about how to generate leads from my clients. Daily actually. Often I hear the words "How can I generate Reoccurring leads?" or "How can I turn leads into buyers?"

I always reply with, "What are you doing now to get leads?"

I am usually often told that they are generating traffic from cold sources of social media or using a lead generation system such as you are on now, attempting to generate leads.

Then I hit them up with "Who is your target audience?" and that's where things are interesting...

I am never at curiosity when the reply I get back. "What do you mean target audience?"

At that point, I can surly say that they are generating cold leads and not very targeted ones at that.

How do you sell something to a prospect who is online chatting on Facebook, or Instagram and the last thing on their mind is what you have to sell?

You don't... With the advent online marketing, the days of trying to sell anything online has simply died! People do not come onto social networks to be sold to, they just don't!

Why are leads converting? Because they are not there to buy anything, they are there to make friends, keep in touch with friends and family. Yet there are some that do sell online on social networks just fine and make great conversions! Why? Because they are targeted leads and best of all, they come to you. Why?

Because before you try to "sell" anything, the homework has to be done. People don't like being "sold" on anything. It's better to use attraction marketing. Make your leads come to you and want to buy your products or services!

Step One: Who are your idea prospects? Age, gender, demographics, etc...

Step Two: What problem are they having and how can your offer fix it?

Step Three: Offer free advice and value and put it in front of the people who are seeking it.

Often if you offer great mentoring, or advice, your leads will also become re-buyers! The type of customers that keep coming back because you have value in your advice, business.

If you're building a list, you must keep them fueled with good, solid meat and potatoes kind of stuff.
