5 Simple Ways to Find More MLM Retail Customers

In this short article, I’d like to share five simple ways to find more MLM retail customers. These tips are based upon my 16+ years in this great industry.  

# 1 Friends & Family

While most of your friends and family will NOT be interested in your business opportunity (because most of them are not entrepreneurial) all of them are consumers. If you approach them the right way, by sharing your own product story or product testimonial, many of them will become customers of yours. The key is to be low key, share your personal experience and never bug, annoy or pressure them.

# 2 Local Events

Local events are another great way to get more MLM retail customers. Examples might include a health fair, farmer’s market, expo, or other community event. You could set up a local booth to showcase your products. Hand out samples, do a raffle, collect names, and then follow up with people after the event. If you can’t afford to set up at the event, go as a participant, and network with the vendors and attendees.

# 3 YouTube Videos

YouTube is a powerful way to find more retail customers for your network marketing business. Instead of making videos about your company’s products or services, I think the best thing to do is to create educational videos. 

For example, if your company specializes in weight loss products, you could make videos covering tips for losing weight, reviewing diet plans, reviewing different weight loss products, etc. At the end of each video you could have a simple call to action to let people know you sell weight loss products and they can contact you for additional information.

# 4 Drop Cards

Drop cards work great. A drop card is slightly bigger than a business card and smaller than a postcard. It has a headline, a few bullet points, and a call to action. You can leave drop cards at gas stations, with toll booth attendants, your waiter, the book store, the library, convenience stores and hundreds of other places.

You can even enclose them with your checks when you pay your bills. The key to a good drop card is not to say the name of your company. Have a good headline that piques people’s curiosity, tell them what’s in it for them and tell them exactly what you want them to do.

# 5 Email Signatures

I don’t know about the average person, but I personally send out several hundred emails each day. Let’s just keep it simple and say the average person sends 20 emails per day. By attaching a catchy email signature to your emails, you would make 20 exposures per day about your company’s products or services. That is 140 exposures per week or 7,300 exposures per day. I’m sure you would find a few customers if you did that.

There you have it folks. These are five simple ways to get more MLM retail customers. None of this is rocket science. You just need to come up with a game-plan and then have the daily discipline to stick with it.
