Success in the Middle of My Storm
People find it interesting that I'm a minister and partnering with a product company. Most believe that it is a scam or get rich quick scheme. Trust me, it is neither. I have been working my business since March of 2016 and I have had my successes and failures. My most recent challenge came the last week of August.
Our utility company found a gas leak and shut my gas off. No hot water, no cooking and now it's getting cooler, no heat. On top of this my cable service went crazy and I have had WiFi challenges for 3 weeks. Because of my tenacity to stick with the plan, no matter what, I have truly had to make adjustments.
I had to add some of the other entrepreneurial methods to make quick money to get my service turned back on. This in it self became a life changing process for me. Finding a foundation that assists seniors in difficult times was very helpful. Only they wanted all of my documents, life story and a pint of blood (LOL). Going through that process was not that easy; they wanted hard copies and no email documents. So $27 worth of copies and $7.95 to mail it in, it took 3 weeks to get everything together. Oh and a $6.45 money order to pull my credit report.
I'm writing this to say that in the middle of your storm, God will always bring you a reminder of how blessed you are. I never stopped making my calls. I continued to do webinars. And people still said NO! When you are in the middle of a financial struggle, God will always bring you back to reality. Looking at my total debt showed me that my company is right. We cannot and must not rely on debt to survive. The bill for the gas pipe repair is $14K. My business is growing slowly and I'm always looking to help families eliminate the harmful toxins from their everyday consumer products.
You see I had overextended myself for my daughter's wedding, which is how I found this wonderful company. The true beauty of it is my leaders! They continued to believe in me and even sent me some funds to get through. My mother always told me, you can judge a person by the company they keep. My circle has just gotten smaller. Only those who believe in my potential are now a part of my inner circle. People of class, character and commitment to get the job done are a part of my life.
My rainbow, I received the help I need from the foundation. Cable finally replace the old modem and router and rewired my computer setup. And I have 2 new customers in 48 hours. When you know that what you are doing has the ability to change the quality of someone's life, you cannot give up just because it becomes difficult. I will continue to fail forward and live my best life. It is my faith that God will continue to send those who see the value in our products and business partners that are willing to go the distance.
