My customers do most of my work for me.

In network marketing, residual income refers to money you receive from two sources:


Recurring billing from customers who buy a service marketed by you.

Recurring billing from customers who buy a marketed by your downline.

This income repeats, month after month, year after year, as long as the customer retains the service. Business owners have found that the opportunity is a great way to supplement their income and help pay for some of the extras like family vacations, school tuition, a shopping trip or maybe even pay off some debt.

How to make residual income

Some business opportunities promise huge income with minimal or little work. It sounds appealing - and also unrealistic! Top producers in network marketing worked hard on Day 1 right up to present day.


They put energy, time and effort into their business. That's how they build a platform for residual income.


TAKE ACTION | It starts with a commitment to become coachable. A willingness to trust in a system demonstrated to work. Often there’s momentum in that decision.


BUILD A BUSINESS | Talking to people everywhere to find customers and customer-getters doesn’t end. Some prospects you meet will be happy to buy services marketed by you. Others will want to build a business as they see you growing yours.


DEVELOP LEADERSHIP SKILLS | Most network marketing superstars don’t ever feel as if they’ve made it. They feel they can earn certain freedoms that they couldn’t achieve working a 9-to-5 job for someone else.


Residual income opportunities

Did you enter the workforce with trade skills or a college degree? Or neither? The process usually looks the same. You punch a clock. You work a schedule. A boss sets your worth and salary, and you get take-home pay every couple of weeks.


To increase pay, you can earn a promotion. Work overtime. Or find a better-paying job. There are limits to that. In multi-level marketing, there are no limits. As you add customers and customer-getters who get more customers and customer-getters …

IT TAKES SOMEONE SPECIAL | Have achievements you’re proud of? Have you overcome obstacles? You have the grit often needed to succeed in network marketing. It’s not easy, but the method is straightforward - and momentum carries a huge boost in this business!


YOUR SCRIPT IS YOUR OWN | Your reason for joining ACN becomes your most influential selling point. Let customers and prospects know what you hope to achieve. People follow those with vision, not those with wealth.


YOUR PRODUCTS ARE ESSENTIAL SERVICES | There are no new widgets or costly services to sell customers on. Customers can pay bills for essential services and see a part of that money go to help feed kids in need.


Residual income: Business opportunity you can grow

Let’s say you start out as an IBO, and get 10 customers your first month. That’s 10 people who have signed up to receive services through ACN - some more than one service. Their recurring payments become your first residual income source.


What if two of those customers decide to become IBOs, too? Their success becomes your success, too - and more residual income.
