Fitness Guy: Making Room for Home Training in a Busy Working Life

Running a business, working a regular job, and keeping up with everyday responsibilities can make exercise difficult to schedule. Through Fitness Guy, my YouTube channel, I share how I make space for training at home in Japan. My latest video is a 12-minute home workout featuring dumbbell curls, push-ups, and standing knee raises.
I am a fitness trainer living in Japan, and home training is part of the content I create. My approach is to show practical exercise sessions in an ordinary home environment. This latest video gives viewers a look at my own training and a starting point for thinking about how movement could fit into their day.
A short session can be easier to put on the calendar when the day already includes work, travel, appointments, and family commitments. Twelve minutes does not represent every part of a complete exercise programme. However, setting aside a manageable period can be a useful way to begin making time for regular activity.
In this session, I use dumbbells for curls and combine them with bodyweight movements. The video includes both two-arm and alternating curls, along with push-ups and standing knee raises. Viewers can see the exercises together in one session rather than searching through several separate clips.
The weights and pace shown are my own choices for that recording. Anyone watching should choose a manageable resistance and suitable exercise variations instead of trying to match me. Taking breaks and working within your current ability matters more than copying someone else’s repetitions.
For members of this community who spend much of their day managing a business, communicating with customers, or working at a computer, planning exercise can be another part of organising the week. I find it useful to approach content creation and training with the same practical question: what can I realistically make time for and repeat?
Fitness Guy is also where I bring together my interests in training, video creation, and life in Japan. I share content in English and Japanese so that viewers from different backgrounds can follow the channel. This new workout continues that focus on accessible home-training content.
For viewers interested in equipment and clothing, selected products are tagged in the video. These include dumbbells, a yoga mat, gloves, workout clothing, and sunglasses. Each retailer provides its own product specifications, available options, prices, and delivery terms. Please check those details carefully before purchasing, particularly weight selections and clothing sizes.
Some tagged products are affiliate offers, which means I may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. Orders are placed directly with the retailer. Watching the workout does not require buying any of those products.
