How to Recruit 1 New MLM Rep Every Week

Today, I want to share with you how to recruit 1 new MLM rep every week. This article is not theory. I personally recruit, on average, 10-20 new reps EVERY month and have done so for a long time. Hopefully, you can learn from my successes and failures.  

I’m going to share a success formula for face-to-face builders and one for people building online, just to give you some perspective. I’ve found that most reps have unrealistic expectations about the number of prospects they must talk to, in order to recruit new reps. I hope to fix that.

The Process

Before I share my success formula with you, I first need to share the process you should follow. Your job is find a prospect, pique their curiosity, share a third-party tool with them to give a presentation and then follow-up within 24 to 48-hours.

I do not recommend face-to-face presentations because they are extremely time consuming and not efficient. Yes, they are very effective. But, if you have a family and job, you are limited on time and do not have time to drive all over town (or the state) to do meetings and presentations every night of the week.

I’d rather have you approach more people, but leverage technology to share the products and business with those people.

Face-to-Face

If you’re building your network marketing business the traditional way of doing things, face-to-face, this is the success formula I recommend.

To recruit one new rep every single week, you’re going to need 5 people to see a COMPLETE presentation each week. To get 5 people to see a complete presentation, you’re going to need to invite 25 people to watch the presentation. To invite 25 people to watch a presentation, you need to reach out to 5 people per day, Monday through Friday.

That’s it. If you can invite five people per day to watch a presentation, you should recruit 1 new MLM rep each week. Of course, there are variables, such as your appearance, your confidence levels, your skills, your follow-up abilities, what you say and the quality of prospects you talk to.

Online

Online recruiting is much more difficult and the numbers you have to go through are significantly higher than for face-to-face builders. But, technology let’s you work smart and it’s easier to reach out to more prospects.

The success formula I am about to share with you ONLY pertains to people who are using an auto-responder and capture page to promote their business. If you don’t have those two things in place, you will not succeed with online recruiting. Don’t even get started with online recruiting until those two things are set up.

To recruit one new MLM rep every week online, you’ll need to generate about 100 leads per week. That means you will need to generate 20 leads per day, every day, Monday through Friday. 

Depending on your capture page layout and offer, you’ll probably need to send 800 to 1,200 visitors to your capture page every week to generate 100 leads. 

To get that many visitors to your capture page, you will have to invest time or money. You choose. Paid advertising is much better because it is less time consuming and easier to do. I use solo ads and pay per click ads mostly, to send traffic to my capture pages.

I normally convert 1 out of every 100 online leads and I have a VERY good sales funnel. The reason you have to go through so many people when building online is because you are a stranger to these prospects, and you don’t have the like, know and trust factor working for you.

Additional Insights

There is one other thing to consider. As you improve your SKILLS, your conversions will improve drastically. For example, once you become really good at what you do you may only need to approach 10 people to get five people to watch a presentation to sign up one new rep. And if you're building online, you can improve the quality of your traffic and sales funnel, which will lead to higher conversion rates. 

Just keep in mind these things will not happen overnight. You have to get in the trenches, make some mistakes and keep learning. 

Final Thoughts

There it is folks. This is the success formula I recommend to recruit one new MLM rep every single week. Of course, individual results will vary. Your numbers could be better or worse depending upon a large combination of factors. The key is to just get started and keep getting better and better every single day.
