Trust

In today’s world many of us were brought up NOT to trust!

A lot of people were taught very young that it was a dog -eat-dog world ‘out there’ and if you do not look out for yourself no one else will. Does that mean you have to? NO!!

The question is – do you want to be ordinary or extraordinary? To be and to produce “Extra – ordinary” you must be able to trust. People that have been the victims of seriously abused trust may find it quite difficult to trust, but in the end we all can trust again. Love and care for others overlooks many imperfections, but trust does NOT. Trust demands perfection and it must be earned.

We must learn to trust ourselves – we actually know more than we think we do. Trust is like the feeling a child has, when you throw them in the air and you catch them – they totally trust you will catch them and as we know – they want it over and over again!!!

Of course, the opposite of trust is distrust, but it manifests in being cynical and sarcastic because the expectation of anything good from this person or this thing/group/organisation has long gone.

We must learn to stay patient and trust the journey.

2) It builds strong and close relationships.

3) It releases time freedom and efficiency.

4) It’s the primary tool for making a difference and being of service.

5) Trust incorporates the ability to forgive – here is what Mahatma Gandhi said, “The weak can never forgive, forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.”

Learn to trust and it will lead you to a freedom in life and leadership that you had never thought could be.
