Like most of us who have entertained the idea of becoming a full-time entrepreneur, I have always been keen to eventually start a business of my own.

Often, the barrier to entry to most traditional businesses is pretty high. Not only would I be needing funding and an actual business idea, I would also need the time to commit to a business that may or may not survive beyond the first three years.

So, I looked for opportunities that had a low barrier to entry and also one that would allow me to continue with my day job as a research chemist.

Yep, you guessed it, Network Marketing which is also referred to as Multi Level Marketing seemed the most logical option.

Long story short, I tried a handful, wasted a lot of time and money and decided to abandon ship and re-evaluate my vehicle of choice that will eventually set me free from having to trade time for money.

Without going in too much detail, one theme I encountered will all the MLM opportunities was that the focus was always in selling the business opportunity and never the product or the service.

While I loved the who idea of the MLM model, I also did not enjoy approaching people to recruit them. I did however enjoyed some success in selling the products.

Bring on digital marketing and ecommerce. I saw these two areas ticked almost all the criteria I was looking for. So, I set out to incest in a lot of courses and coaching. Learning and testing various aspects of make money online.

Again, like most who embark on what seems so simple, I wasted a lot of time and money in chasing every opportunity.

Once I stated to have success to write home about, I decided to quite my corporate job on at least three separate occasions. Each time, a colleague convinced me to wait until my online business replaced my salary.

At, this point, I was a father of two and one on the way. I finally pulled the trigger and quite my job and went fulltime.

I would be lying if I said, it all went as planned. More time and money wasted chasing shiny objects. I literally became a guinea pig of make money online opportunities. I tested almost every aspect of online business.

Ecommerce, retail arbitrage, affiliate marketing, private label (my favourite), network marketing (with a digital marketing twist), local marketing (went in to the restaurant niche) etc etc.

In all my time chasing my dream, the one thing I enjoyed doing was, teaching others what I learned. I love sharing my experience so as to help other avoid the pitfalls along the way.

Now I know, that, it is impossible to avoid pitfalls, I realised that we all have to go through our own journey, experience our own disappointment and heartaches. But, I strongly believed that sharing my experience has actually helped me to become even more focused on my own journey and knowing what I want and more importantly what I don't want.

So, that is when SmarterMindz was born. In fact, if you check my domain name, this was registered back in 2016. Once the word went out that I could help folks navigate the make money online opportunities, I just had to somehow automate and do for me what I was doing for my friends and clients.

Yes, I still have my private labels that helped me quit my corporate job, but I also found that the scaling up is pretty slower compared to network marketing or affiliate marketing.

Most people who have known me, find it bizarre that a refugee boy like me who not only excelled in education, but managed to secure top jobs with big Pharma companies would throw it all away.

In these weird and uncertain times of Covid19 (At the time of writing this, in the UK, we just went back into our second lockdown of 2020)

Due to these current events and lack of job security, most people are no longer as sceptical as they once were in regards to building an online business. So it is even more imperative that we take this opportunity and ride the wave, so to that end I am focused in helping people learn the ins and outs of affiliate marketing in a safe and supportive environment.

I never imagined that I could actually get paid while helping people get out of the rat race or J-O-B (Just Over Broke).
