Healing America's Economy

I believe in the American Dream. From the earliest days of immigration settlement, people were in search of an opportunity. Each of us is here because you have an opportunity or you desire an opportunity. Let me share with you something that will open your eyes and show you how we can protect the land of the free and eliminate government dependency, lower taxes, and bring every citizen to a place of abundance. The only people who remain in poverty will choose to live there. 

 Most of us have been burned by the false American dream of getting our education, finding a good job, maxing out credit cards, buying a house, take 2 weeks of vacation per year, and enjoy our retirement while working at Walmart. Say what?! Heck no! I am sorry, but that is a dream that has not served us well. I do not know who came up with it, but the death sentence has been served. It is time for a new opportunity. 

 What if I told you that there was an opportunity to reverse the trillions of dollars of American debt? What if every child born and every high school graduate was able to enter into adulthood with a way to guarantee themselves money to buy their first car, first home, start a business, or put themselves through college without loans and credit card debt? That is the opportunity that every person in this country should have. 

Our education system has taught us to waste time learning everything but how to manage money. A true economics course teaches you about a credit score and what happens when you borrow more than you can afford to pay back. Generations have paid for this backwards way of preparing ourselves for adult life. High School should be spent focusing on your personal areas of interest and gaining knowledge to help you do work or serve in the type of vocation that you are passionate about. In fact, we should teach children how to save money as soon as they are old enough to say penny. 

 Lastly, I would give a penny for your thoughts after reading this article. How does it make you feel? Ask yourself what our country's citizens need most right now. What about the American Dream? That is just it. We all want to wake up from the slumber that we have been in where we have stood by and allowed the American Dream to be replaced with the American Nightmare. I dream of an America where our economy is healed and everyone has enough. I dream of an America where I never have to see a homeless person standing on the corner with one of those card board signs.
