Network Marketing as a potential to uplift your life.

On the weekend I met a group of young people who were looking for jobs, and I spoke with them. In our conversation, they indicated that they were so desperate for the income as they have families to support. I then posed a question to them as to why they have not started a business because they have various skills and combining them can create a great power. They were reluctant at the beginning to engage as they thought is a mockery.

Many of our young people have a problem of been dependent on the jobs and salaries instead of engaging in the business. South Africa has a high employment rate standing at 27% excluding discouraged job-seekers and at 35% if they are included. The majority of the unemployed is youth constituting more than 70%.... yes 70% of youth are unemployed, very alarming, right?

I pointed out the above stats to the group and show them the reason they are still unemployed and economic conditions. They started to understand that something needs to be done to solve the socio-economic conditions of the young people... I was excited that, finally, something right will emerge. I asked them what needs to be done? Many pointed out that government should provide business opportunities to the people of the Country and I was excited that now we are moving towards creating entrepreneurs and business minded people. I, however, got disappointed with the model of business that they want to engage... Guess what? They meant government must give tenders to young people which is not a bad thing but their model suggests that government must provide handouts and pay them before they start the work to enable them to function.

I provided the best opportunity to them in MLM. Their first response was that it is a scam. MLM is the industry that young people have not taken advantage of regardless of the technological advancement they have in life. Young people rather suffer from no income than participating in Business opportunities that require them to work. One even suggested that he can sell my products and recruit on my behalf and I pay him R1000 a month. These factors made me realize that South Africa has still a long way to go in getting youth and young people to participate in the mainstream economy. Contrary to a political insinuation that old people are the one who closes opportunities for young people, young people are their own stumbling block. Unless the youth and young people stand up and embrace opportunities, problems will always persist.

Longrich has proven to be one of the Network Marketing that has the capacity to ensure that life of youth and young people particularly women change fo better. In the month of August, a woman's month in South Africa, we need to ensure that MLM continues to improve living conditions for our sisters and mothers.
