Why Do You Care What Others Think?

One of the biggest stumbling blocks for a lot of network marketers is that inner voice that says "what will other people think."

It's normal to experience this, but you must learn how to quiet that noise.  Here's some bad news, you will never be able to quiet that noise if you really don't believe in what you are doing.

Before we dig deeper into that, I really have to ask you again.  Why do you care what others think?  Do they pay your bills?  Do they walk in your shoes?  Do they want what you want?  Here's some good news.  All those people you are worried about aren't really thinking about what you do.  They have their own issues.  

We all want the same basic things in life and the only people that will talk negatively about you are those that are miserable in their life.  Those are the people you don't want in your business anyway.  Pre-judging people in the recruiting process and worrying about what others think are the two biggest psychological hurdles you have to get over.

Life is funny.  The things that you are afraid of will always find you during the recruiting process.  If you really don't believe, your prospects won't either.

This brings me to the main point of this article.  You can't fake this.  If you are struggling, you have to ask yourself if you REALLY BELIEVE in the company and product you are pushing.  Does the product REALLY do for you what they told you it would?  Forget the comp plan, does the company and product deliver.  Most of the time the belief level just isn't there for most reps and it kills their business.  

How do I know this, because most Reps that quit the business immediately stop using the products.  I'm not making this up, the stats don't lie.  

You see most sensible people really do understand the benefits of Network Marketing.  Most sensible people would do anything to be a part of real residual and leveraged income.  The problem is there are a lot of products just don't live up to the hype or they are really over-priced.

Here's the good news.  You really don't have to love the product you are pushing.  Don't get fooled, the passion does not have to be about the product to get rich in this industry.  The passion has to be about getting rich using this industry and most intelligent people can't argue with the concept of network marketing.

So, what's the answer?  Self evaluation and keeping it real!  The product has to be real, it has to give value everyday to everyone that uses it.  It can't be based on claims and BS studies that the company paid for. Most importantly it has to have an ease of use and understanding.  It has to make sense, make life easier and/or better and be reasonably priced.  Again, you don't even need to like the product.  You just have to see its value.
