The Ultimate Secret To Becoming Your Best

Hey, how's it going? Finally got some sunshine today in Oregon, believe it or not. Imagine going to Oregon to find sunshine. It's just crazy.

But anyway, today I'm going to share with you the single secret to ultimate success, in anything ever want to do. It sounds like a tall order, but I can handle it, cause I got it figured out. And I don't want to ruin the surprise for you or anything, but it's really not as earth shaking an idea as you might think. I would be willing to bet that half the people (at least) watching this video are going to get it. They're going to know it. You'll be like, "Oh, I already know that."

At which point you have to ask yourself the question, "Then why is it I am not further along towards my goal." Whatever that might be. "Am I just not doing it? Have I changed my mind too many times, or too often, or both?"

That happens a lot. That happens a lot to everybody, especially people who decide to go outside, not just their comfort zone, but everything they think, because it's a completely different mindset you have to have when you're in business, versus being just a consumer of what other people produce.

And I talk about that from time to time. But today when I gave you the secret, and I remember I watched this video with Will Smith. And he's got some really good stuff out there as far as motivation and just basic life philosophy. Really good stuff. And he told the story about how when he was a kid, his father tore down this brick wall and he made his brother and Will rebuild the wall over a summer. The way I understand it, or remember it, the thing that he learned was... every day you just go out there and... you're not going to be able to finish this thing quickly. It's just not going to happen. It doesn't matter who you are, you're just not going to get it done in a minimum amount of time.

So he had to learn how to lay a single brick, and then lay down a brick exactly where he wanted it, and how he wanted it, and then do the next and the next. At first he started out, he was real slow. But as he got better, he knew how far distant to make a new pile of bricks, and how thick to put the mortar, and how fast to lay them down, and to get it set more quickly.

So of course he sped up, and when he looked at it the first day, it looked like he would never, ever get it done. It was this monumental task. But then every day, through consistent action, every day he put in the same amount of time every day, laying a couple more bricks than the day before, because his speed and expertise grew. Well, they finally finished the wall, and he said he got it done faster than he thought that he possibly could have in the beginning.

In that story is the ultimate secret to success in anything you'll ever do.

Which is you just have to start doing it.

You're going to go very slow and methodical, and be very meticulous at first. But as you do more of it, you get better and better at it, so that you're able to crank out more quickly. And then all of a sudden, so much time down the down the road, you've got yourself a wall or a business or whatever it is. Now you can play the piano. Now you can speak a different language. Now you know how to do calculus. Whatever it is that you're going to do.

The same rule applies consistently.

Practice your craft every single day, and you will get better at it as you go along. Until someday someone says, "Wow, you're really good at this. How did you ever get that way?"

And you'll be like, "I don't know. I just did the same thing every day and here I am.

So that's it. That's the secret, and that's why I talk about making things simple and easy, and at a good time and a good place for you to do it. And operating under the chaos theory of time management. I'll do that tomorrow. All those things come together and you can look back and say, "Wow, I really did that." T

The problem is with all the marketing that goes on, you look at it and people make it seem and sound so easy. And if you just get this latest whizzbang killer tool, it'll do the work for you or whatever. Then you end up spending all of your creative time attempting to learn how to use the dang thing until you get frustrated and you just give up.

Well, stick with me and you will not have to worry about that because I'll be a constant source of motivation for you, with little tips and tricks for you to think about and to implement in your business. You will get better as you go along, and someday you'll be able to look back and say, "Yep, that was me."

It all starts right here

That's all I got for today. Hope you're having a beautiful day like I am.

I will talk to you tomorrow. I'm out.
