BREAKING NEWS: We are ALL chasing the ‘Shiny Red Object’!

This Announcement will NOT be a favorite among SOME, but I’m OK with that. Here lately, I have received so many emails about Business Opportunities and how to STOP chasing that shiny red object. After MUCH consideration, I had to address this in order to have peace of mind ‘while speaking my mind’. Hey, we can all agree to disagree and I will ALWAYS welcome a GOOD debate [in a civil manner, of course]…
What’s the difference between chasing the shiny red object and chasing money? There is NO difference, because they are BOTH the SAME! People making money in Network Marketing LOVES the ‘shiny red object’. Individuals NOT making money in Network Marketing HATES the ‘shiny red object’. If you listen CAREFULLY to the ONE characteristic ALL these individuals preaching STOP chasing the ‘shiny red object’ have in common is they ALL admit to NOT making money in past Network Marketing Opportunities. Suddenly, after NOW making money in Network Marketing your success is contributed to you STOPPED chasing the ‘shiny red object’? Are you serious???
What is the actual definition of a ‘shiny red object’? Is it making lots of money in short period of time? Reaching an unrealistic goal to make lots of money? Is this NOT the same definition of chasing money? There is BIG difference between “being too good to be true” when compared to “NOT being good enough to make it become true”. If making money was EASY everybody would have it and the inequality of wealth in the USA would be a better ratio than 90% of wealth being controlled by 10% of the population. There is ABSOLUTELY nothing WRONG with chasing the ‘shiny red object’ if you FIRST understand RISK -vs- Reward. Risk is NOT only determined by the MONEY YOU INVEST, it’s MORE a factor of your ABILITY AND DETERMINATION to turn that RISK into financial REWARDS. On the other hand; the Reward factor will [MORE TIMES THAN NOT] be indicative of your EFFORTS…
Yes, there are SOME really BAD opportunities out there and it’s hard to decipher between the good and bad if you don’t do your due diligence. The bottom line: 99.9% of ALL individuals in Network Marketing want to make money. Unfortunately, only about 30% of them will make MORE than they invest and 65% will NOT make ANY money at all… So, the problem is NOT the ‘shiny red object’ it’s the desire to chase money when it’s NOT your best forte.
