We have been used to the traditional marketing business model around us that is working since generations and our ancestors have been witness to that.

Our ancestors have also seen another business model which before currency was born was called the barter system, where one item was exchanged for another.

Over the years human beings evolved as a race, our needs increased and therefore the resources needed to fulfill our needs were short in supply.

This inequality led to the concept of paid labour, where some who had the resources would hire labour to fill the gap between demand and supply.

Over the years this gap has kept on increasing thereby increasing the size of the work force resulting in higher inequality.

Network Marketing / Affiliate Marketing / Direct Selling whatever you may call it, sought to fill this gap by a unique model which helped people from the work force to create their own economy, therefore posing a challenge to the already bloated capitalist economy.

Surely the failure rate in this new business model is high because of various reasons, mainly because of lack of education in this field & regulatory frame work across countries besides other minor reasons.

It is time we start educating ourselves on the advantages of this field as it is worth looking at with a long term perspective, just as we would look at our careers as this field has turned many common people into millionaire's. We don't know many of them as they don't rank among the big names and have come from very humble back grounds.
