Facebook Page or Group? Where to promote your product?

I am hoping you are finding huge success with your business or businesses. Whether you’ve had your business for several years or just for a few days, there is always room for improvement.

Would you believe that many business owners today are not advertising their business on FACEBOOK? Why do you think that is so? 

Although there are so many advertising streams, FACEBOOK is a good place to start or revisit, but the question is… “Do you start a Facebook Page or a Facebook Group?” 

Facebook Page? It really depends on not just your business, but where you are with your business. If you just have a personal Facebook account, start by creating a Facebook Page for your business. Be sure to think about your closest friends and family and invite them to learn more about your business as well as be the first to “like” and “share” your Facebook Page. Make it a priority to use your Facebook Page to find your prospects. When you go live on Facebook remember that your broadcast streams live across Facebook, unlike going live to JUST those on the inside of your Facebook Group. 

One cool benefit of having a Facebook Page is - you can ONLY advertise on your Facebook Business Page and, unfortunately, cannot currently advertise in your Facebook Group. 

A Facebook Group often comes later. Once you’ve created a following, clients, and/ or strong prospects… you can invite them into your FACEBOOK GROUP, and that will in turn help grow your business with key players and/or clients. The main purpose of a Facebook Group is to help cultivate your community and help build your audience and/or business. Use your Facebook Group to add value by sharing private information and/or going Live to just your Facebook Group. 

Please note, there are so many ways to utilize your Facebook Group. It can be set to Public or Private, and if you select Private, you can also choose to “hide” or have your private group be “visible” for those searching for your group. If your Private Group is set to “hidden”, then people can only join via your invite link. 

Remember to always try to make BRANDING a top priority. The more congruency you have across your social media networks, the easier it is to become verified, which ultimately helps build and maintain TRUST throughout your brand.
