The new year brings me both joy and sadness. Incredible Joy for those who are serious about network marketing, and sadness for those who seem to forget what they hold in their hands.

There is an old saying in network marketing. “It's easier to give birth than it is to raise the dead”. The inference being that it's preferable to ignore those who for whatever reason have lost their fire and replace them with fresh recruits who are more likely to build the business without all the prodding and hand-holding. Personally, I don't completely agree with this. When I bring someone into this business, I feel a responsibility to them. If ultimately they do nothing with this “golden moment“ in time, it will never be for lack of upline support. With this in mind, this article is my way of reaching out to remind those why they joined network marketing in the first place.

Now that my team consists of many hundreds of people from across the globe, I can see the excitement and momentum that only "staying the course" can achieve. But as we all know, network marketing has some very distinct features. Among them are those people who join because they see the big picture. They are excited at first and want to take on the world with visions of Diamond pins on their lapels, free trips, bonus cars, and five figure monthly checks. But for some odd reason are lured away thinking that it won't work for them because they heard the word "no" a few too many times for their liking... or that the grass seemed greener somewhere else. In short.. they let other people steam their dreams or in fact stole their own.

Big, Big Mistake.

I am here to say that there is no greater opportunity on the planet than network marketing. One quick visit to your corporate site will show you the influx of new Diamond Directors (or insert top rank of your company here) who are seizing once-in-a-lifetime chances at legacy positions. If you are reading this, you are most likely a team member of an emerging opportunity and should realize that you have the same opportunity as they do. The same one!... So isn't it time you got serious?

Do you remember why you got involved with MLM in the first place?

• You wanted to escape the rat race...
• You wanted walk-away residual income...
• You wanted find a program that actually works...
• You wanted more time for your family and friends...
• You wanted to get out of debt...
• You wanted to fire your boss...

At the same time I encourage those who have become lax to pick up where you left off... call your upline.. and become the MLM ROCKSTAR YOU WERE MEANT TO BE!.

The bottom line is this. Those who are making it happen in your teams are going to the top with or without those who choose to fall by the wayside. You know that there are many Diamond Directors on your teams... they just need to recognize the latent talents within themselves. Perhaps you reading this are one of those people. But you must do one thing first... you must make the decision to step up and do what it takes to make it happen. You can do it.. your upline can help. If you need support, with three-way calls, prospecting methods, and tools... they are there.

But sometimes, world-class support comes with a price-tag attached. You need to realize that sometimes support goes to those who are working the system and showing support for the team by remaining on autoship. There are only so many hours in a day. Show your upline that you are getting serious.

Are you going to step-up to the plate? Or are you going to let the opportunity of a life-time slip through your fingers?

I don't want to see anyone who has already joined not experience the butterflies of excitement that come with rank advancement and residual income. We don't want to leave anyone behind!

To the leaders on this board...Reach out to those who aren't taking this incredible moment in time as seriously as they ought. Re-commit yourself to your business for the upcoming year. Take a bold step like registering for your next big company event and make it happen for you and for your family.
